May 3, 2019At the Capitol today, the Calendars Committee placed HB 1365 on the House Calendar for a vote for this Monday, May 6th! This bill would allow those with debilitating conditions to access to the Texas Compassionate Use Program (T.CUP) and establish a cannabis research and review board.
It is imperative that we continue to build support for this important legislation.
Please ask your representative vote YES on HB 1365!
Time is tight to move bills forward, so we need you to take action today — Call your representative!
1. Identify your representative and their Capitol office phone number.
2. Call your Texas State Representative to ask that they join 65 other legislators by becoming a co-author for this important legislation and remind them to vote YES for HB 1365 when it’s up for a vote on Monday.
Here is a script you can use:
“Hello, my name is ___ and I am a constituent. I would like to request that my representative vote YES for Representative Lucio’s HB 1365 on Monday. This is important legislation that will impact many patients in Texas. I hope that the representative will do the right thing.”
While you are at it, please reach out to your senator to prepare them for the conversation to reach the Senate!
